According to Stoddard's Lake George Illustrated, 1873, this steamer with its screw propeller was built in 1869, shares the Indian name of a northwest bay in Lake George, made daily excursions to the Narrows -- leaving Caldwell at 9 a.m. & returning at 1:30 p.m., round trip fare was $1.50 (p. 114). |
