Handwritten below photo, "Mr. A.C. Tearse, Trustee". Letter included in file 1975.016.0007 says: Mr. Daniel DeLong was a son of Zopher DeLong, who built and lived in the house now occupied by the Historical Society. Mr. Z.I. DeLong was born in Day, Saratoga County, April 18, 1850. Mrs. DeLong was born in Stillwater, NY December 11, 1851. The item marked PH28 was a photo of Mrs. A.C. Tearse, wife of A.A. Terse. She was the person who made the crazy quilt. It was well over 100 years old. The pen & ink drawing of the Tool Gate (located at the foot of Miller Hill in Glens Falls) was done by Mrs. Crandall, the mother of Milton Crandall. |
