This photograph was originally part of the Glens Falls Insurance Company archives donated to the Chapman Museum in 1977. Cutler J. DeLong lived at 30 Bay Street ca. 1876-1929. He was one of Zopher DeLong's sons. He was the Treasurer of the Glens Falls Insurance Company. His children were Annie, Helen, Catherine and Mary. John Dixon bought the house in 1930. The house was torn down in the spring of 1930 to make way for Carter Hall Inc., and City Service Filling Station. Katherine married Robert Carter. Mary married Charles West. Helen married Howard Bush and Annie married Mr. O'Reilly. His wife was named Mary Clendon, who was the daughter of George Clendon III (1849-1927) The DeLongs were married on July 27, 1871. Some records state his name was James Cutler DeLong. |
