This photograph was originally part of the Glens Falls Insurance Company archives donated to the Chapman Museum in 1977. H. W. Knight, bookkeeper; C. J. DeLong, Treasurer, Paul Williams, office boy, R. A. Little, Secty, E. W. West, Ass. Secty. Robert Carter was born in Layfette Indiana on July 4, 1874 and he died on November 18, 1963. He and Kathy DeLong married on November 21, 1901. He was clerk at the Glens Falls Insurance Company ca. 1897-1912, Treasurer ca. 1918-1927, and Sec-Tres., ca. 1930-1935. He was on the board of several other companies, including the GF Portland Cement Co. Cutler DeLong was one of Zopher DeLong's eight children. He was born on January 5, 1846 and died on November 25, 1928. He was an executive at the GF Insurance Co. He had four daughters: Kathy married Robert Carter; Mary married Charles West; Helen married Howard Bush, and Annie married Mr. O'Reilly. Russell Little lived in Glens Falls ca. 1848-1920. He was the co-founder of the GF Insurance Co. He worked at the GF Insurance Co. as the Exec. Sec. ca. 1897-1905, VP ca. 1909-1912, President ca. 1918-1919. He retired in 1920. Paul Williams lived in GF ca. 1897-1935. He was an office boy prior to 1897, and a clerk in 1897 at the GF Insurance Co. c.1905-1930 he managed the GF Storage Co. and in 1935 he had his own furniture and storage co. Egbert lived in Glens Falls c. 1888-1942. He was a special agent and later Secretary of the Glens Falls Insurance Co. Knight worked at the GF Insurance Co. as an insurance agent in 1888, a clerk in 1897-1912, special agent in 1918, Asst. Sec. ca.1920-1927, and VP in 1930. He worked at the DeLong Fuel Co. in 1942. He retired ca. 1942-1950. |
