This photograph was originally part of the Glens Falls Insurance Company archives donated to the Chapman Museum in 1977. N. R. Gourley, S. Brown, Cutler DeLong, S. A. Hays, R. C. Carter, A. E. Conway, C. F. West. Norman Gourley lived in Glens Falls ca. 1888-1950 and was an agent at the G. F. Insurance Company. Sanford Brown lived in Glens Falls ca. 1897- 1930. He worked at the Glens Falls Insurance Company as a bookkeeper ca. 1909-1920 and a clerk ca. 1924-1930. Cutler DeLong was one of Zopher DeLong's eight children. He was born on January 5, 1846 and died November 25, 1928. He was an executive at the Glens Falls Insurance Co. He had four daughters: Kathy married Robert Carter; Mary married Charles West; Helen married Howard Bush; and Annie married Mr. O' Reilly. Robert Carter was born in Layfette, Indiana on July 4, 1874 and died on November 18, 1963. He and Kathy DeLong married on November 21, 1901. He was a clerk at the Glens Falls Insurance Co. ca.1897-1912, Treasurer ca. 1918-1927, and Sec/Treasurer ca. 1930-1935. He was on the board of several other companies, including the Glens Falls Portland Cement Co. Anne Conway lived in Glens Falls ca. 1897-1942. She was a stenographer for the GF Insurance Co. ca. 1909-1920 and a clerk ca. 1920-1935. In 1942 she was a Notary Public. Charles West was an employee at Glens Falls Insurance Co. and married to Mary DeLong. Stephen Hays lived in Glens Falls ca. 1888-1950. He was a stenographer at GF Insurance Co. ca. 1888-1910, and clerk 1911-c.1920. He retired ca.1924-1950. |
