Elsie and Edith Streeter were children of Dr. Frederick Streeter. Fort William Henry Hotel was built in the federal style by Thomas Thomas and Franklin Wright in 1855. In 1868, T.E. Roessle & Sons remodled the hotel in the French empire style. The hotel burned down in 1909. It was rebuilt in 1911. The third hotel was torn down in 1969 to make way for the Fort William Henry Motor Lodge. The mounted print (1975.111.20)has an off-white mount. (7 x 9 in.) 1977.218.3766 is mounted on paper. It is signed and copyrighted. The unmounted prints are signed and copyrighted. |
