Object Name Gown, Wedding
Description Wedding dress of ivory silk crepe, lined with yellowed linen. Outer sleeveless bodice, crepe, has deeply scooped neckline, with snap closure on proper left shoulder and side. White glass beads in geometric motifs around neckline and on front; faced slits up front left and right, held together with ivory silk cord and decorated with beaded floral motifs. Inner bodice is crepe covered with soft lace, snapping at center front, over lining's hook/eye closure. Short, slit sleeves sewn to inner bodice. Lining skirt is linen and crepe; front is covered from above the knee with yellowed lace. Crepe skirt crosses over in front and snaps, showing lace below knee; proper left hip is less gathered than right and comes to a point. Slightly trained, back has thick hem.
